We are proud to announce the Annual Northwest Georgia Fair will be held nightly Friday September 9th thru Saturday September 17th on Highway 53/Rome Road in Calhoun. The State Fair Carnival/Midway is sure to be the absolute best ever! New rides and all new attractions will adorn the midway as we will truly bring “THE FAIR” together for nine days of excitement, competitions, educational experiences and making memories!

This year’s Grand Parade in downtown Calhoun will be on Saturday, September 10th, beginning at 11:00  a.m.  The parade will include floats, marching bands, pageant winners from the past, this year’s pageant entrants, tractors, antique cars and much, much more. Come join the fun.

The Fair officially opens on Friday evening September 09. This years fair will also feature new hours. Monday thru Friday, the fair will open daily at 5:00 pm and on Saturdays and Sunday attractions will begin at 4:00 pm. Fairgoers can buy advance combo tickets for discounted gate admission and unlimited rides and SAVE 20-30% online at Admission prices include a huge lineup of nightly entertainment, concerts and activities.

For those entering blue ribbon competition items such as fine arts, photography, canned items, etc. we will be receiving those on Wednesday, September 7 from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm or Thursday September 8 from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm. Fresh baked items will be received Friday morning September 9 from 9:00 am till 10:00 am. All blue ribbon judging will take place Friday September 9 beginning at 10:00 am.

We will be hosting youth livestock shows, baking, floral, photography and general competitions.  Youth Livestock Shows  will be held throughout the Fair and are coordinated by Gordon County 4-H, FFA,  the UGA Corporative Extension Team, fair livestock committee, and other fair volunteers.  We will also be hosting beauty pageants nightly and family activities.
